ABOUT
I’ve always been interested in what connects us.
I’m Christina Cherel — a communications strategist, storyteller, photographer, yoga teacher, and endlessly curious person based in Baltimore.
For more than 15 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of communications, public health, advocacy, and community building, helping organizations turn complex ideas into stories that connect with people. My work has taken me around the world, from building global audiences and leading international campaigns to bringing together communities across more than 130 countries.
At the heart of it all is a belief that good communication does more than share information. It builds understanding, creates connection, and moves people to action.
THE STORY SO FAR
Work that has taken me around the world.
For more than 15 years, I’ve built global audiences, led communications teams and major initiatives, and worked across countries and cultures to bring important ideas to life.
Most recently, I spent nine years at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, leading communications and storytelling for global health initiatives, including one of the world’s largest international conferences on family planning.
My work has always been about more than messages and campaigns. It’s about people, the stories they carry, and what becomes possible when we connect.
But that’s only part of the story.
Photography teaches me to pay attention.
Yoga teaches me to come back to myself.
Travel keeps me curious.
And this chapter of my life is about making room for all of it.
